Baybur Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan, made a statement into journalist in a platform held for the first exportation of Bayburt Natural Stone factory located in Industrial Zone, and said “Bayburt is among resource-rich cities in Turkey as it has natural stone resource” ANADOLU NEWS AGENCY
Bayburt Governance, Bayburt Chamber of Commerce and industry and Bayburt municipality applied into General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (Maden Tetkik ve Arama Genel Müdürlüğü) to explore natural stone reserves in the city in 2005. 200 Million metrecube, able to process and having economic value has been immobilized.
